Does Nordgreen have a silver watch with blue face on offer?

Pioneer is our top-selling product and our successful Chronograph experiment. How successful? Well, it got us a Red Dot 2020 award for design. Jakob Wagner is at the head of designing our watches, and Pioneer Chronograph got him his forth and Nordgreen’s first Red Dot Award.
Our robust Pioneer line of watches is more suitable for a man’s wrist, and it comes in one size of 42 mm. This is the only watch line in Nordgreen’s collection that has the chronograph feature. The perfect contrast between the navy blue dial and a silver-coloured case is enriched with small red details on the chronograph hands. If you wonder why they are here, they represent the red tips, usually part of the wind turbines. You see, the Pioneer line celebrates our Danish tradition. Are Nordgreen silver watches made from real silver?
Every guild has its own expressions, and horology is not the exception. Most of the time, when you hear someone using expressions like golden or silver watches, they mean silver colour, not the material. There are a lot of watchmakers that make timepieces of precious metals, including silver, but Nordgreen is not one of them. You see, we like our watches just the way they are. And they are elegant, versatile, well-designed, durable, and affordable. When we started this beautiful Nordgreen story, we decided to make perfect watches available to our customers. The market is already overwhelmed with factories selling high-priced and sometimes overpriced wristwatches. We don’t want to go that way. We like it when people wear our watches, not hide them in a safe.
What materials does Nordgreen use for the watches then?
We use a lot of different materials, and they have a lot in common:
- They are all top-quality to ensure the durability of our watches. And just for that, we offer a 2-year warranty on our watches. Bear in mind that most of the watchmakers offer significantly less.
- All of our materials must come from sustainable factories. Meaning the worker’s rights have to be respected, along with the protection of the environment.
- We are changing the world, one watch at a time. With every Nordgreen watch bought, you support Non-Government Organisations that fight for a better tomorrow. But there was a talk about materials, right?
Stainless steel - for the cases
And not the usual one, but the stainless steel 316L. Yes, you are right; people use it for making medical implants and surgical equipment. It’s called stainless because “rust-less” sounds too weird. This specific type is hard, hypoallergenic, and scratch-resistant. Meaning you will have no problem preserving your watch and even gifting it to your children or grandchildren.
Miyota movement - the heart of our watches
There are watch movements, and there is the Miyota movement. The one. The biggest producer of the watch movements in the world. Unmatchable Japanese tradition and precision. The only movement similar to Swiss ones, but much more affordable. The quartz movement has monopolised the watch market, and there is a good reason for that. Simply, they are much more precise than the mechanical ones, much simpler to use and much more affordable.
Italian leather - the gentle touch on your wrist
Although we offer several different strap materials, our all-time favourite one is genuine Italian leather. Hardly anything can compare with its rich smell, gentle touch, and everlasting elegance. We are in love with it, and we are not ashamed to admit it. Leather is forever.
